I joined a couple of forums to learn about the systems and have to say the attitude of even the self declared 'responsible' drone operators towards their safe operation and sharing of airspace is very worrying and as for the stuff on youtube

A couple of years ago, someone posted a (really quite good) drone video as it climbed through the overcast close to a TV mast. The claim was that it was 4000'. When I commented that XXX's controlled airspace started at 3000' the video mysteriously disappeared.

Somebody on our local facebook network recalls a 'lost drone' plea from a young lad: She's trying to find it so it may yet reach its owner.

Did you know there is a closed facebook group called 'Lost Drones' full of requests for sightings of lost drones, some evidently very valuable.

Just look at the DJI store.... prices in excess of £1000 are not unusual.
