A couple of years ago, someone posted a (really quite good) drone video as it climbed through the overcast close to a TV mast. The claim was that it was 4000'. When I commented that XXX's controlled airspace started at 3000' the video mysteriously disappeared.

Somebody on our local facebook network recalls a 'lost drone' plea from a young lad: She's trying to find it so it may yet reach its owner.

Did you know there is a closed facebook group called 'Lost Drones' full of requests for sightings of lost drones, some evidently very valuable.

Just look at the DJI store.... prices in excess of £1000 are not unusual.
