Just because they made a profit in two quarters doesn't cancel out the dozens of other quarters where they made a phenomenal loss.

Not to mention over $10 billion of long term debt.

The only 'money' is on paper, from investors. It's a glorified pyramid scheme.

I have no idea of the arrangements today, but certainly for First Gen Leaf, Nissan provided unlimited recovery for Year One then reducing cover for the following two years.

From the AA website

Battery run out? We'll tow you to a charging point or your destination – whichever's nearer.
