Not sure about that: Given their job and training it is perfectly reasonable for police to have concessions (like useing a mobile phone) that are not available to us, the great unwashed.
After all, they can drive through red lights and you can't: IMHO every bit as dangerous as mobile phones ,but they are trained, aroused and alert to these dangers , whereas Mr texting lorry driver isn't.
Are you going to get ars ey because you are not allowed to drive through red lights?
