Not sure if this made the red-blooded red-tops or the blue-steak set but the Guardian (the newspaper for sandle wearing bearded vegetarians, and that's only those that currently identify as wimmin) covered a recall of Quorn because of potential rubber contamination.

My first question was: how could you tell?

My second thought: aha! Sustainable, recyclable food.

I can't be the only one on here who remembers the Derek & Clive sketch about Dudley's wife ,'Valerie' going into the shop for a lb of sprouts surely ?

"Bloody bloke gave 'er a packet of 3 instead , luckily she boiled 'em up and added a load of salt , otherwise they wouldv'e tasted really ****** awful".

If only they were still here today . Can you imagine,,;
"Can you taste rubber in this quorn Pete"
With Peter Cook completely straight-faced and Dudley corpsing into his beer glass........................
Pure genius .... :(

I'm afraid I recall quorn fairly quickly after eating it - I've had a sore stomach every time.

I also know someone who has been hospitalised by it after a serious reaction.

At least the rubber in it might taste of something. If it wasn't for all the flavourings added to it, it wouldn't taste of anything.

Real food for me please!

Now where did I put my last sachet of Huel...

Dogs will eat anything. They're not discriminating eaters.

As Derek and Clive might say: "That really gives me the quorn."

I don't mind, Quorn either.
