In fairness, one of my loans was £20k to a mate setting up in Oz and *he* was the one who insisted on a commercial interest rate. I did feel a bit nervous as I hit the "send" button but I reasoned that I would, and had, trusted him with my life, so what was a few quid at the end of the day? And he's the most honourable bloke I know. So there was no paperwork, no lawyer, no contract. Just trust.
