I've been using QB multi user desktop for some years now and now living under the fear of a hardware failure as Quickbooks now refuse to provide installation codes.
One phone call requesting an install code went,
"Hello, install code please"
"We don't do them for that version now, you'll have to buy the update"
"I don't want or need the update, I just want to use the one I've already bought"
"Well you'll have to buy it, you're a business, you can afford it"
"Oh! I think you'd better put me through to your supervisor!"
Eventually got the code after mentioning that I was a member of the FSB.
I'm not going online with anyone
1. I don't have the permission of my customers to store their details off site,
2. I run Accounts for my 2 business's a charity and a sports club which would mean four subscriptions
3. I need/want back ups
4. I just don't trust Quickbooks as a company anymore.
But, the desktop software is/was good!
