http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/local_news/15518313.Person_in_hospital_after__explosion__in_car_park/

Says:

A woman was taken to hospital after a car "exploded" inside the car park in Southend's B&Q.

While this:

Says:

A man who was freed from the silver hatchback was taken to hospital with only minor injuries.

So. Y'know.

When I was young "sniffing lighter fluid" was a thing.

(though not done by me I hasten to add, which is why I have enough brain cells left to be a pilot)

There was an explosion one evening near our house that turned out to be two youths in a car, pretty high, deciding to then have a cigarette. They survived to tell the tale and thought it was a funny anecdote (and I grew up in a community where scars were a status symbol anyway)

Hey Cessna57 , try and acquaint yourself with someone who's doing fabric work on an aeroplane.
I thoroughly recommend the Poly-Fiber range . :D Especially the Poly-Tak fabric sealant [the pink stuff]
I was flying the aeroplane way before I had put the bloody wings on it,,,

Lighter fluid ? So 1980s..
