I got confirmation for my extra nationality a couple of weeks ago.
I said to a good colleague of mine - he was almost in tears. It seems they're a bit emotional over here when you finally get your name in the "moniteur".
I had to choose between ID card, or ID + Passport.
ID card is 23 euro. Passport is 61 extra, and lasts 5 years.
Being a guid Scot, I opted only for the ID card (the whole British thingy lasting a while yet). My wife couldn't understand, until I explained that my British passport will do fine - and having 2 passports might sound exotic, but is in reality just an expensive PITA.
