Hi Frank,

we have paid in the region of GBP 4-5,000 for a 'proper' solicitor to hold our hands through office moves, which I have always thought was very good value for money. Not sure what you're doing or what your budget is, but if that is within your budget, it may be worth it in the long run.
(I'm always keen to give/take 'free' advice initially, but one of the reasons to pay for advice when it counts is not just the quality of the advice, but also their E&O if things don't work out after you've followed it... ;))

FD, if it's not too intrusive to ask, what's the situation since you might be better with a surveyor rather than a lawyer.
