I got my reval paperwork sorted the other day as well, likewise I’m not sure how it’s been 2 years already!

I would have said that we might not qualify for the ‘new wings’ thread anymore, but given how long some on this forum have been flying for, we might still be good! :D

I’ve been trying to push myself to be more adventurous with my flying, going to more new places and the like, but I’m hoping to get a little further afield in the next couple of years - most of my flying has been within an hour of home base.

I start training for my IR(R) next week - slightly later in the year than I’d hoped, due to some extended maintenance of the club’s IFR equipped acft- I’m hoping that, as well improving my skills, it will help give me the confidence to get further from home.

Due to family commitments I haven't flown as much as I'd hoped post-ST :?

To make up for it , and as a birthday present to myself, I have booked hire of a 172 to fly up the coast from Inverness. Some interesting airspace, fab scenery, and I'll fly over my Mum's house. Such a shame she is too infirm to come as a pax, but she will appreciate a wing waggle as I fly down the glen

I love flying over the sea. In this instance the huge D703 will keep me very close to shore though!
