Hi all,
I am an Australian with a CASA CPL that has made the move to London.
I have been looking into converting my license and this is what I have found:
- Obtain CAA Class 1 medical
- Study CAA ATPL's (Bristol Groundschool)
- Have a few flight reviews then flight test and now I have CAA CPL
Does this sound correct?
Has anyone else done something similar?
I can convert my CPL to a PPL by completing 2 oral theory exams and a flight test then apply for the license which should help keep me current and motivated whilst I study for the ATPL's. I am aiming to get them done by the end of the year.
Once I get my CAA CPL what should I do next?
- MEIR or Instructor Rating?
I know working rights might be an issue but ignoring that which is most likely to land me a job?
Also if anyone has any recommendations on aerodromes near London to stick my head into that would be great. Right now I am thinking of Elstree.
Thank you for your time.
