Invest 75p in a good quality "bag for life" for your flying, don't be a cheapskate and use a standard 10p plastic one. I mostly use the present Sainsbury model, which are ideal, although Lidl are a good second best.

Standards Dear Boy, standards! At Tibenham you would be stoned for using anything less than Waitrose or Harrods.

I use a Carrefour bag for life as I'm in a group with just French aircraft and a 1 euro Gilet Jaune from their motoring section.

A carrier bag is totally inappropriate for flying, just get a £10 rucksack or laptop bag from Amazon or a market with adequate zip up storage. I have no idea why people persist in some kind of weird faux display on the forum about carrier bags.

"Bags for life" are robust, open topped, reasonably rigid, and about the right size. I can afford most things if I need to, but actually I find my Sainsburys bag-for-life pretty much optimal for non-exciting GA flying.

Standard carrier bags, I agree, no rigidity, tear too easily, not quite big enough.

Any sturdy bag will do, that’s all I was saying. It doesn’t have to be a leather, modular bag system from Pooleys. We’re not airline pilots.
