David Wood wrote:Correct. For some reason that isn't a tested item for the IR, but it is for the IRR. As our American cousins would say; go figure...

I hadn't really noticed this, but I did IMCR before IR and I have to say I've used low level bad weather circuit more than once

I was tested on the low level bad weather circuit, along with being taught how to when I did my IR. Have things changed?

I have used this manoeuvre about a dozen times, so it is worth it. Albeit it in a twin, not an airliner.

Every year I am revalidated for my IR: Every other year I ask my Examiner to sign me off for the IMCr as well (I forgo the 25th month to keep the same dates.)

For this reval (IMCr/ IR(R) the flight lasts longer and the Examiner makes me do a bad weather circuit in addition.
