I'm quickly approaching my 1 year anniversary since my last written exam.
Given that the current rumors place the end of lockdown to July, has there been any signal from the CAA to relax the two years rule to complete the private license from when the written exams are done?

It could be worse - my ‘deadline’ is the 6th June 2021.

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get an individual exemption until the end of the summer; speaking to others on the UK flying training FB page, this may be a possibility.

For anybody who might be interested, the CAA got back to me and stated that an extension of two months (max) may well be possible. I’ll need to fill out a SRG2137 form, pay £56 and hope that they grant an extension.

Hopefully we can start GA in April and I can get the PPL finished in 2 months.

Hi, take it you mean the CAA?

Lessons booked for April so hopefully I don’t need to apply for an extension. Would be gutted if they deny one.
