Whisper this but a Northern (ie Scottish) fly-in is my first choice, closely followed by Duxford where the addiction took hold
Oh, and I'll make shortbread as well as cake for that trip.
(@Miscellaneous I was hoping to book something with Highland Aviation next Spring.
I would love to have stick time while flying north of Inverness, up the coast and over my Mum's house
How does it work if you are a stude and want to do a one-off flight elsewhere, by necessity with an instructor ? Does one need permission from one's school?
I can imagine instructors don't want a.n.other giving confusing/conflicting advice.
@Nero , yes, be great if we could all fly in with freshly printed PPLs. You lot are all streets (airways?) ahead of me though. Perhaps you'd better organise the primary fly in and an 'also ran' some time later
Am procrastinating. I am supposed to be revising light signals. Again.
There are too many criteria! 3 colours , 2 variants of display, 2 origins and 2 places to receive them. Oh and one of them indicates that you need to wait for another light, then land, then wait for a third !
