Hi forum
I am working on my ground school exams but could the wisdom of the forum please give me an IDIOT'S GUIDE to working out the following questions from various apps and practice papers. I know these seem easy but my head is fried with them:
The maximum crosswind for your aircraft is 17kts. Given a 20kt wind speed by how many degrees can the wind direction change from the runway direction before the crosswind component equals 17kts?
An aircraft travels north along the same meridian from latitude 30 15 south to 14 00 south. What is the distance flown in km?
Calculate the maximum Rate of climb from the following table if you fly at 5000ft with an OAT of +10
Ft. Speed. -20. 0. +20. +40
4000. 76. 635. 575. 515. 455
6000. 74. 520. 465. 405. 350
You are entering details in the technical logbook after a flight. Express your Tachometer in decimal form if 53.65 is start and 54.26 is end.
You are entering details in the technical logbook after a flight. Express your flight time in decimal form if t/o is 13.24 and landing is 14.05.
Thank you for your help!
