Just thought I'd add a post, as a continuation to my dedication to being a student
Passed my PPL back in November and I've done a couple of local pleasure flights since in our 2 seater Grobs. Thought the time was right to get checked out in the Warrior II.
In terms of excitement, it was a bit like flying for the first time again - I can see why people "collect" types. Biggest challenge was getting my eye-muscle-memory sorted - kept losing gauges, but after the 2hr checkout I was more than comfortable.
I didn't find the switch overly onerous - which was nice, as I had wondered how things would be. Biggest difference is that needs a LOT more force on the yoke than the Grob which reacts if you so much as breathe at it.
But, my main takeaway is how much I still enjoyed instruction. Definitely a little different Post-PPL, but still very rewarding.
