Hi everyone.
I'm new here so thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm currently learning the art of flying light aircraft at Derby aero club near Eggington in sunny Derbyshire.
I'm still in my early stages of this fantastic journey but I am thoroughly enjoying it and have met some great people so far.
My instructor at Derby is richard Pedley.
I have also had a lesson with Jeremy Pratt (who wrote the book)
I'm learning in a Cessna 152 but I have flown a Vans RV7 a flexwing microlight and a eurostar too.
My ultimate aim is to fly a vintage taildragger.
I'm a race engine builder / mechy engineer by trade, I have also spent the last 11 years racing motorcycles and 3 years racing sidecars before that.
I drive a ww2 jeep and am chief engineer on a ww2 tank crew.
If any of you want to pass on any hints or tips, please shout up, I need all the help I can get.
Cheers.
Skelly.
