Hi everyone
I obtained my CAA PPL in 1996 but unfortunately stopped flying in 2005.
Is it possible to re-validate my licence?
and what is the best/easiest/cheapest way of doing it?
Thanks

Its a UK valid for life licence so dead easy.

Fill in a medical deceleration.

Go to local flying school then training as required plus test. They will then sign off your ratings page and your good to go.

At some point you will probably have to convert to a European one but not for a few years.

Thanks for the reply, great news.
Will it be a problem that my address shown on my licence is my old address?
and where do I get a medical declaration? Can it be done online?

For the medical and it can only be done online.

There is also a form you can fill it to tell the CAA of a change of address but you dont get a new licence.

I should add there has been a lot of debate about changing the address on your licence and if you have to pay for not.

Many just dont bother these days because everything has become so complicated.
