Got through my skills test today after having to cancel twice over 2 weeks due to weather!

Well done for getting up there today - if you can successfully fly a skills test today you should be fine in most conditions!

Oops, meant to say yesterday (i.e. Sunday 14th). It was a decent day overall but there was a rain shower right next to the downwind leg when I was doing my circuits! Made sure I was awake for the final bit of the test!

Yay - Just passed my last two exams, Nav and FPP. Done with two dropped marks across all 9 exams so very pleased and a small beer coming my way tonight.
2nd solo landaway next weekend weather dependant and then onto the QXC.

Pleased to announce I passed my PPL(A) skills test on 30th June. Now just waiting for the license to be issued. Hope it is not too long a wait!

Those weeks waiting for the piece of paper to be returned are hell... but you can still fly in the meantime and enjoy the weather - sadly without passengers. But it will pass


Half way through the year now - we have 11 first time PPLs so far, which is set to beat last year's tally of 16 if you guys keep it up. Well done so far everyone

Pleased to report my first solo land away done and dusted on Saturday! Bristol down to Dunkeswell for a very quick coffee and back to Bristol before the weather closed in!
It was lovely!
