Hi all,

I'm after some inspiration or experience.

Has anyone ever had to fit a tricyle gear low wing aircraft into a small hangar, that was designed for taildraggers? The rear of the hangar is so low that as I push the aircraft in, I would need to raise the nosewheel off the ground by about 6 inches.

My first thought was obviously a ramp, but then thought about some sort of trolley for the nosewheel but would need to be fairly tough with rugged wheels due to operating on grass/mud.

Anyone have any experience of same or words of wisdom? Thanks!

I have made up 3 plywood trolleys with cutouts to take the wheels. These are mounted on their own wheels a bit similar to supermarket basket wheels. I use them for moving my aeroplane around my workshop. If you just made one and put it under the nosewheel that may be enough. It's easy enough to lift the nose up by the prop and push the trolley under with your foot.
