I have a Kiev 236, 3 blade on a Rotax 912 ULS. (100 hp). Anyone know what pitch I should be starting at to get somewhere near 5,000 rpm static? The pitch setting tool is marked in Mtrs just to be awkward.

I may sound a bit numpty but that's because I'm on unfamiliar ground.

Kiev props are sold in the UK by Flylight at Sywell, whose technical support is legendary. I would ask them.

Got it sorted by trial and error. Thanks to those who tried to be helpful. Stand by though. I might try setting the pitch on my ground adjustable tailwheel next.

Sorry that I wasn't helpful. I'll try less hard next time . Every so often I have to argue that someone titles a thread with a less-than-useful title; it was just your turn! I suffer occasionally from CDO.

Of interest: some aircraft have a ground-adjustable trim tab on their elevator.

(Also of interest, maybe, I do have a ground adjustable tailwheel of 1929 design on my aircraft; in yaw perhaps, not pitch).
