Hi all

Occasionally I'll plan an adhoc flight which results in me having to plan my flight + check wx and notams at the airstrip on the day relying on the 4g sim in the aircraft's tablet and patchy 4g mobile reception to do so.

I'm always uneasy in such instances as to how sure I can be that the Notams I have are valid and not cached/stale? (Usually alleviated by scrolling through each one and checking the dates)

So two questions -

1/Will SkyDemon ever display cached notam data when opening a planned flight/creating a new flight, or are the displayed notams always newly fetched?

2/If yes to the above, is there any way to see the timestamp for when notams were last fetched to ensure that newly issued notams aren't being missed due to a dodgy/intermittent connection and previously fetched notam data?

Flippin' 'eck Chris, if you young techy people don't know the answer to this what chance do the rest of have?

Email sent to SkyDemon support. Very prompt reply -

"You will see a red notification at the top of the NOTAM tab to indicate if your NOTAM have not been updated in at least 30 minutes. If you don't see this red banner, it means your NOTAM have been recently updated."
