Is there an LED bulb replacement for the standard bulb in a whelen tail light housing ? If so could someone point me to it.

Thanks.

Try some of these .

We've put in something similar as a straight bulb replacement in what is thought to be C150 type bulb holders , on a permit a/c .
Brighter nav lights now . And if sw. on , off and back on within 3 secs they strobe . .....Poor man's anti-col .

rgds condor .

We bought some of those LED's for our wigtip and tail lights and as condor says - if you switch on/off twice they start flashing.

The next job (now we are on a PtF) was an LED landing light replacement for the power hungry GEC sealed beam and now - even with all lights on the current draw is only 2 amps, so we leave them on all the time.

Next job is to install a second wing mounted landing light and build a little circuit to flash them alternately as "wigwags" seem to be very very conspicuous in the air. But will probably need a minor MOD approval to mount a second landing light.

@blueup

How did you get on with this? I'm looking at similar thing and investigating the NavStrobe 3 pack box.
