soon...is anyone here flying with a UL under the bonnet? I wondered what your experiences have been?

A friend of mine has one in his Escapade.

They're pretty good as far as I can tell, but you need to get the fuel pressure pumping correct.

They seem to be pretty beefy in potential performance numbers and was wondering if they might be an alternative to continentals and lycomings in the coming years on our permit aeroplanes -LAA approving, of course.

There's a thread on the Van's Air Force forums about somebody fitting a 200hp 6 cylinder MOGAS burning UL-Power 520iS to an RV-7A; an aircraft that traditionally uses a Lycoming (I)O-360 which is reportedly 50lb heavier than the UL-Power installed.
