Thanks, I'll follow that up.
Thanks also for all other replies, I'll cherry-pick the best option if I can't make it myself.
I've made a " half" template in thin ply and downloaded accurate instrument templates to print and stick on, so I've done a lot of the initial work already.
I may just make the final piece by hand as the template is shockingly small now I can see it out on the bench, Jodel D117 panels are tiny!
The tricky bit is getting a datum to measure from, the existing instruments are not perfectly centred so determining the middle and transferring that point to a 'floating' template is keeping me entertained.
I don't know enough to know what to shift and what to leave alone, I would be keen to have the altimeter right in front of my eyes. Flying in the S.E, airspace busting is my main concern.

If you’ve got the CAD these Guys are very good value.

As previously mentioned all the work these days is in generating the design file. Cutting is cheap and quick. If you need free CAD software this is a good starting point https://fractory.com/free-cad-software/ ... D_Software

If you’re in the midlands I can point you in the direction of a chap with a digitiser who can create the CAD pattern from the original.

I had this cut to my own CAD design by Carbon Cut; including the engraved ink-filled placarding. Approx £270iirc, including materials (and the sheet of carbon would have cost me half that if I had cut it out myself).
