Locally there is a Premier Inn hotel, less than 5 minute walk from the apron parking; [url]http://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/hotels/england/lancashire/blackpool/blackpool-airport.html?ARRdd=20&ARRmm=03&ARRyyyy=2016&ROOMS=1&ADULT1=1&CHILD1=0&COT1=0&INTTYP1=DB

The Air Balloon pub is right beside the Premier Inn, a Fayre & Square chain pub; http://www.fayre-square.com/pub/air-balloon-blackpool/m6874/?utm_source=g_places&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=places&utm_content=m6874

If you are stopping overnight, then the Lee Raj Indian restaurant is excellent and very reasonably priced and a 5 minute walk from the Premier Inn.

Squires Gate Train Station is a 5 minute walk with hourly trains into Lytham St Annes and Preston.

A 10 minute walk gets you to the sea front and Starr Gate Tram station, and from here you can take a tram which runs along the promenade to the town centre, Blackpool tower and beyond; http://www.blackpooltransport.com/services/tram-services

Plenty to see and do here; http://www.blackpooltransport.com/whats-on/attractions

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a small theme park only a 5 minute tram ride away, and is opposite South pier, the first of three piers located at Blackpool; https://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/

What you see is what you get at Blackpool. Yes, it's a bit run down in areas. Yes, it oozes 'cheesyness' and 'tat', but the promenade and beach are clean and in good condition, the town centre has enough good shops to warrant a visit, and the comedy square located in front of the tower is worth a visit.

If anyone is coming, drop me a message and ask any question and if I can help, then I will :)

Notams say there are 30 minute closures during the day? Is this still the case? Is it for atc or some other reason? Thanks
