In a few weeks time, I am looking to go to Guernsey with the DCFI for a day trip.
Will most likely be constrained to a weekend so which day is better to go Saturday or Sunday?

It makes very little difference flying wise. Fuel drawback available outbound. Cheap fuel to be uplifted in Guernsey (cheaper still if you are an AOPA member). Handling via ASG is a non-event. Get a cab into St. Peter's Port for lunch.
