Fuel bowsers now have their own credit card machines so if you uplift fuel, stay with the aircraft and you can pay the re-fueller rather than make the tortuous climb to the tower! Regretfully you still have to pay landing fees in the tower though unless you have an account.

Airport closed from 1211111100 to 1211111102.
Bowsers once again cannot access the grass so all refuelling has to be done on hard surface.
Grass parking east of Twy 'A' just north of 'B' intersection temporarily withdrawn due waterlogging.

Aren't the LTFC aeroplanes parked on the grass? Or have they been moved to a hard surface for the duration?

Even the grass area adjacent to the 'tower' is now too soggy for aircraft, so please phone before visiting as you could be parked somewhere on a hard surface where you wouldn't normally go; helps us plan ahead for parking too!

Can't find it online, can you tell me the landing fees for a <750kg SEP?

I've suggested to 'der management' that landing and parking fees be put on the new website at http://www.fairoaksairport.co.uk
Visitors should be aware that parking is only charged for night stops so you can (theoretically) land at 8am and depart at 6pm and only be charged a landing fee.

All grass areas now available for parking again and bowsers can re-fuel on grass areas too. If you have an account from which landing fee will be paid, please stay with the aircraft for re-fuel and pay with your card at the bowser.

If you're given 'not above 1400ft' when departing Fairoaks, it usually means a Farnborough inbound is being vectored above you, so when given the frequency change to Farnborough, please try to get 2-way asap, don't wait until you get to Guildford.

For a trial period, all departures apart from those planning to enter controlled airspace ie airways departures and SVFR, will be given a squawk of 0466 rather than 0457 when the Farnborough instrument pattern is active on runway 24. Addtionally, departures will be requested to climb not above 1,400ft for separation from the Farnborough inbounds at 2,400ft.
The difference is, Fairoaks no longer need to pre-warn Farnborough of a VFR departure when the iap is active.
