FWIW Dundee airport Fire Service has a hovercraft which can access the river from a ramp on the south side of the runway in case of a ditching. A boat is no use as at low tide there are significant sandbanks in the river that could prevent a boat reaching a ditched aircraft.

To be fair, pilots who fly multis tend to have a much higher incidence of engine failures than pilots who only fly singles.
