30+ aircraft on the Apron on 9th July - at this rate they'll need to take bookings! Restaurant and airfield coped magnificently with a big party of microlighters, casual visitors and all the returnees from the South of France and Flying Legends.

One very confused German - couldn't get his head round not being controlled. My brief feeling of competence evaporated when Lille Info pointed out blind calls should be in French.

AVGAS 1.53 euros + VAT.

Thinking of flying to Calais from the UK next Monday morning. Is an English AFIS service still available? I see on the website there's a form for customs that needs to be submitted 2 hours before. Anything else I need to be aware of?

Thanks, that'd be great. I've since seen on the NOTAMs that there is no AFIS and no fuel on Mondays, but maybe there's fresher/different info to be gained locally

Hi Alex.

I'll be with you tomorrow about 1400 local if it all goes to plan and would like some fuel, then depart for St Omer. Sunday I'll be coming through also for the return leg, weather dependent as ever.

I will fill in the form online, of course.

@november romeo : I've never had a moment's problem at Calais on non-AFIS days using Dave's cheat-sheet
