The sunday market has been closed wie, last sunday was the last one.
As far as I recall, it was started by Doug Arnold back in the late '70s.
All that potential parking space on the north side now going spare?

£1.92 a litre this week.

I'll not be going back.

Surely some mistake.

I checked with the ground crew yesterday and it is still 150p plus VAT, so 180p/lt since March 2015.

Made my first visit yesterday. Very nice indeed. Not too hard to find. Plenty of tarmac runway. Grass parking for lightweights. I used Farnborough on the way in from the north because I needed a traffic service while letting down through quite small gaps in the cloud (I didn't fancy going low near the Chiltern ridge and Stokenchurch mast with the cloud so low and visibility so changeable). Departing to the south I tried the listening squawk but Farnborough called me immediately as they want to talk to people who are so close. I called them without prompting on my return and second departure. All very friendly and mutually helpful.

Nice café. Packed with locals watching aeroplanes and spending money. Polish breakfast mentioned somewhere in the forum was very nice but not hugely filling. Luckily that left room for the potato and cheese (double Gloucester) soup which I had with it and which was truly excellent.

Not the cheapest landing fee (twenty something for an AA5) but well worth it and they have to make money somehow given that it would be worth a mint as development land.

Recommended.

Blackbushe subsoil is mostly gravel (you must have seen the gravel workings north of the airfield) and hence unsuitable for building houses.

Yes, Blackbushe's very own long-term FISO, Jamie, has indeed finally left for pastures new. I believe that he is now working for NATS at Gatwick so no more than four in the circuit at Gatwick from now on .

Don't be silly, NATS lost the Gatwick contract about a year ago so maybe that's what he wants you to think.
I do know where he has gone but I'll let someone else spill the beans.

I wonder if he's keeping his second job; stacking shelves at TESCO.

To facilitate those trying to get their night flying in before the summer comes back around, Blackbushe will be open until 1900 local on the following dates:

Thursday 1st February 2018
Thursday 8th February 2018
Thursday 15th February 2018

FISO, Fire Category 1 and fuel will be available. Usual landing fees will apply.

For 2018 we have revised our pricing structure to encourage GA. Fuel prices have already reduced by over 10p per litre, and we are working hard to reduce this further. GA Landing Fees have reduced by 17%-24% when taking Fuel, and Parking Fees by 5% to 37%. Discount varies based on type. See https://www.blackbusheairport.co.uk/charges/ for more info.

Happy flighting!

Ah, I see the category that most of us are in, 751 to 1500kg is now £14.40 when you buy fuel. Excellent!

Fairoaks up to 1000kg = £12.60 incl VAT and you don't 'have' to buy fuel

Ok, I'm 1066kg. Is it per 1000kg or is it pro-rata? :D

It's the lowest band, 0 - 1000 Kg MTOW. I admit however the next band 1001 - 1500Kg is higher at £19.80 incl VAT.
Which one you are charged depends on what the computer has been programmed with as your MTOW, but to mitigate, you are only charged parking if you stay over night, there is no hourly charge and PPR is accepted by RTF.
