700m grass strip at the same location as the BKY VOR. Last Sunday, I decided to try to do a quick visit there just for the joy of it. I telephoned the number given by SkyDemon. The chap said yes and gave me a quick brief:

1. Circuits to the south. A gun club operates on the north side so really, circuits to the south.
2. Fly along the runway first to give the model aircraft flyers chance to make room for you.

Strip was good. The VOR is at the south end and there is a hangar (marked with the usual C) at the north end. It was open and there were three aeroplanes there. The model flyers operate on the opposite side of the runway, a little further south. There is a box on the side of the hangar, by the caravan, with a sign-in sheet, departure instructions and an honesty box for the grass-cutting fund. I left a tenner which seemed appropriate.

Behind the hangar appears to be an active performance driving school which was being well-used.

There was nobody to talk to but I did get a friendly wave from a chap on a big ride-on mower.
