My daughter is attending a wedding in Galway in August, any news on whether it will be available for a PA28?

As far as I'm aware, it's only available to based aircraft, and there isn't any suggestion that that situation is going to improve in the near future.

From the website

Sorry, the airport is only open for Galway Flying Club.

Galway Airport provides business and industry, the general public and tourism with convenient access to and from Galway City and County.

I did read that, the two statements are contradictory! Just wondering whether there was any gossip about it being available in the summer or if you had a chat with the flying club you could become a temporary member :D

If you can't use Galway, Connemara the Aer Aran base for flights to the Aran Islands is 17 miles from Galway to the West. Flew in their last Summer.

Thanks! I’ve been to the Aran islands in the Cherokee, great few days, highly recommended.
