An unlicensed aerodrome south of the M4/Swindon, Draycot Farm is a lovely 700m grass strip oriented North/South on the Wiltshire downs which I visited last week. PPR is NOT required, so you can come and go as you please (picnic tables outside the clubhouse), self announcing on 135.475 - leave £10 in the honesty box of the flying club hut as your landing fee.
One thing to be aware of is that the runway undulates quite significantly which could possibly catch out the unaware, and that circuits are discouraged.

I originally asked about the aerodrome HERE.
The official website is http://www.draycotaerodrome.com/index.html

Regards, SD..

Please note that all circuits are to the West of the strip; there is another farm strip to to the East of Draycott which is not shown on the charts or Sky Demon.

Thinking of a brief visit to Draycot later today - never been before.

PPR not required apparently, can't find a frequency on their web site or elsewhere - is it Safetycom?

I'll probably phone anyway but if anyone knows, TIA.

Easy enough to steer between them, but there were some mole hills to dodge on the runway when I called in there a couple of months ago. Any sign of them now?

All looked pretty good when I dropped in last weekend.
