It was closed today, i managed to do 2 radio writtens. It could be open Sunday, don't give up without calling.

Popham fuel, both 100LL and 91UL, now available as self serve with credit/debit cards at the pump (just like car fuel stations have for "pay at the pump"), so no need for the clubhouse to be open.... for example, no need to rush for the 4.30pm or 5pm fuel closure just to fly in summer evenings.

Finally popped my Popham cherry today. Fantastic weather, and a wonderful airfield to visit. Everyone was so friendly and I got a nice tour round some of the hangers to see some amazing tailwheel aircraft. I even saw Irv Lee on the way out - he's worth 100 points in my I-Spy book of Aviation Instructors. :D

Seriously, if you haven't visited before, go. You won't regret it. Plus £6 landing fee can't be beaten (except by my other destination today - Damyns Hall - which is free!)
