Found a couple of interesting PA20 for sale - they do appear to offer amazing value (if you're not worried about tailwheel or fabric - which are apparently unpopular).

I had a share in a PA22 till recently when it had a hard landing (not me) and was an insurance write off.

My only gripes with it were a limited view out the window (I'm short, but even with a cushion it felt like I was looking out of a letter box when flying), and the very limited cross wind performance, (certainly in my hands).

None of the current members of The Shiny Colt syndicate are giants, but to my knowledge it’s never been an issue.

As for handling crosswinds, I assume the Colt handles in a similar way to a TriPacer, albeit without flaps and I’ve always said that I would run out of talent long before the Colt does in a crosswind...

@Rob P may wish to comment further, having had much more experience on type than I have.
