Group flying opportunities & questions

Ever wanted to fly a classic helicopter? Here's your chance..... :thumright:

Group forming on a Hiller UH12. Equity and Non Equity Membership will be available. PPL H as a minimum if you want to fly. Training for the type can be arranged.

Aircraft is recently into service with a full overhaul and lots of new and low time Major components. 8.33 and Mode S. Engineer in the group for maintenance and care with great support from a loyal group of enthusiasts. A real "Warbird" feel from this machine with 3 seats, amazing views and flying for the sake of flying. You're not going to break any speed records, but leave your garden and go for lunch by air....the way Personal Aviating is meant to be. Or, in the summer, why not take the doors off and go for a blast around with your favourite Vietnam Era, Creedence track playing through your headset (or "Bone Dome")! Who doesn't want their own slice of "Chickenhawk"?

The Hiller was used to train Pilots in the USAAF, USAF, Marine Corps and Coast Guard as well as even the RN and other premier military flying outfits. Over 3 MILLION hours of training were carried out in the type over 17 years. Easy to fly, interesting to fly and rewarding. Hiller and a colleague, once wore a parachute and heavy clothing each, then both got out of the cockpit, leaving nobody at the controls, to show off the stability!! No other rotary at the time could achieve such a feat.

Help keep a piece of Aviation history living for a generation to come. The only glass in this cockpit is Plexiglass, in the form of a big bubble! A TigerMoth era flying machine, that you can drop into a pub garden for a sandwich (yes....you will need to get permission first!).

PM if you want to learn more, but figure on some very reasonable costs for what it is! Heli's are amazing....Hillers even more so

This could be the chance you've been waiting for.....
