Due to one of our members building his own aircraft (!) we have one share available in a Jodel D119 based at Wickenby in Lincolnshire.
A 1/6th share is £4000 plus £60 a month and £48 per hour wet. Taildragger experience is not required as we have a qualified instructor in the group who will provide free training. Low hours pilots are also acceptable though possibly with a small insurance premium (approx £15-£20)
The aircraft is kept in a good quality serviced hangar, just call up in advance and it will be out and ready for you to fly!
The Jodel is a pretty, classic French two seater with superb visibility and is much more responsive than the usual Cessna or Warrior. It is ideal for farmstrip flying and equally at home on grass or hard runways. It has recently been upgraded with brand new radio and Mode S transponder, has a tablet running Sky Demon, two DC headsets, space for an overnight bag, etc. It's great for short hops or longer trips to the continent. We have a qualified engineer in the group who keeps the aircraft in excellent condition.
Wickenby is a great airfield with two runways and a lovely cafe with homemade cakes. It has a roomy pilots' lounge, and a friendly atmosphere, plentiful parking and a secure area for the hangar with security key access.
