Two questions,
What is the kit on the LHS window? Looks more transistor radio than aviation.
When was T promoted to Wing Commander

1) Those of us lucky enough to have flown in LIZZie can conform that this device is in fact a transistor radio.
2) Had similar thoughts myself, but suspect this is actually shirt material.

I used the flash and that sometime makes it look like the avionics are off.
