As part of the Open College of the Arts degree course that I'm studying at the moment I have been exploring light and shape using Black and White images. So after some recent flights I have been experimenting with use of B&W on some of the aerial images I have taken.
Yesterday evening I took my new Panasonic TZ3 camera rather than my Pentax DSLR and this is some of the output.
Maybe not to everyone's taste, but I quite like the way B&W images can emphasize shape and light in a way colour doesn't.
It was also the first time I used the TZ3 in the Auster and I was quite impressed with it - it has a huge LCD with various lighting options that makes it easy to use at arms length in the cockpit. Image Quality is not as good as my DSLR, but the small size and LCD screen make it a good choice when I am on my own.
