Gliders are the Devil's aeroplane, but that G-CKBS looks good - what's that one and why does it have a reg?

Glaser Dirks DG600, Reason for the reg is because it has an EASA CofA (more unreasonable EASA expense :( )

Gliders have to be registered these days under EASA although the implementation is being spread over a few years. I think it is expected to be completed by Sep 2008 but I am sure nimbus can give you chapter and verse.

Some gliders, mainly vintage types, are exempted will remain under BGA control.

I can now legally operate with my split personalities as either J15, G CFAM or 01000000010100111011000.

The time its take to get the EASA C of A through, applying registrations and all the other nause is a pita.

Years ago I think Blaniks had registrations didn't they?

How much would something like that cost - G-CKBS?

AndyR,

I am aviation sick, but you beat me by a long way.

Just thinking, I must take up that offer by a glider friend to go fly together on silent wings

......and highly enjoyable. Funnily enough when I used to teach on courses in Germany my first flight of the day to check on the "conditions" always used to consist of several loops and chandelles. Just making sure everything would be alright for the students you understand
