Yesterday lunchtime I had tempura fish, chunky potato wedges and wasabi peas. ie fish, chips 'n' mushy peas.

It was all fantastic, but I thought the pea idea deserved to be shared here. Basically, frozen peas, heated up, gently crushed and mixed with a small amount of wasabi to give some bite. Delicious!

That was my speciality in my student days, Paul.
Pain grillé on an upturned electric fire, haricots cooked en boite in the electric kettle.

Wild rice and garlic butter king prawns to start;
Ultra-thin sliced chicken cooked in orange and whiskey, with butter and toasted flaked almonds; (the trick for the chicken is to semi-freeze it before slicing)
Nectarines poached in rose syrup, with creme fraiche for dessert.
