Dahleengs, have you been yet? It's the new Wolseley, although I think that it's even better than the original. The Delaunay is King and Corbyn's new Viennese style grand cafe on the Aldwych.

Yummy schnitzels, chicken soup to die for, seafood, great steaks, strognanoff, and much else besides. Generous glasses of house fizz and many other wines by the glass. It's a bit suity at lunch time (this is the sort of place where the staff wear better suits than the generally well suited guests), but quite chi-chi glam in the evening. Booking can be tricky, but if you walk in and look the part they can often find a table for you.

Thanks for the tip Gerard. Wolseley my fave haunt for Breakfast and Lunch (not dinner though).

Is it expensive?

It's not cheap, but it's good value given the standard of hospitality and the location.

Pretty decent Martinis, as well as a good wine list.

Looking at the menu, you can get a New York hotdog and chips for £6.50! :D
