How do I do that on my iPad? I've tried all my fingers.

Good question! I have just tried on my iPhone and the only way to do it seems to be to select and copy the white letter text, and then paste it into an email. I accept that this is a RRPITA - do any tablet gurus out there know of a better solution?

(Although the solution is also a bit of an irritation as we'll...)

I used to click the 'open in browser' (or some such link) in the email and then the browser in Android would let me highlight the text. Since a browser upgrade that stopped working.

Turn the "Speak selection" accessibility tool on is a fun workaround!

Found in settings General-->Accessibilty

Highlight the text and a "speak" button will be there alongside copy, paste, etc.
