Official News from Naples Air Center, Inc.

It is with much regret Nikki and myself must close the Flight Department after 28 years of training pilots. (This will not effect our JAA ATPL ground school and Maintenance Department.)

After an audit by the State of Florida they increased our insurance for our employees by 225%. This is an increase that NAC cannot sustain. Since September 11, 2001 all private insurance companies offering this type of insurance have ceased to insure any employees that are pilots.

It has been a pleasure to have worked with so many of you in the past and we wish all of you God's Speed in your careers.

That is very sad. I enjoyed a fab 2 weeks with them last autumn.
NAC was by far the best US school I have come across.

Presumably other US flight schools will be faced with the same problem. ??
