Does anyone know if there are any places in central London where I could take my written ppl exams?

I was under the impression that you can take them from any airfield that has a qualified examiner??
I take mine at Stapleford - there's at least 3 examiners on hand.

Steve, I've got an aweful cold at the moment and I'm not fit to fly. I'd like to take the next exam but could do without going all the way to Denham.

Husbands Bosworth near Coventry Sat. June 14th ..... the fly-in (or drive-in if you prefer) + gliding evening + socialise. The original thread got mucked about by comedians, so I don't blame you for missing it.

And does anyone know of somewhere around London where I can do an RT course together with the exam(s)?

Could probably manage it just with CAP413 but if anyone can recommend a good London(ish)/Biggin/Kent course I'd appreciate it.

Interesting idea. We could get together and charter some wacky airliner. Could get you into a career as a tour operator...

..or December .... all out to Kittyhawk to watch Orv & Wilb's replica take to the skies at Kittyhawk (Dec 17th scheduled date).
