Primarily for general aviation discussion, but other aviation topics are also welcome.

Have a look at Auto Classics website for details of ambitious plans to build a fabulous car museum on the airfield, plus an area for demonstrations, and some very expensive holiday homes. Driving force behind it is Peter Mullin who already has an amazing museum in California, containing some of the world's most expensive and exotic cars. There is no mention of the project's impact on flying, but the museum grounds seem to occupy half of the existing runway.

The existing runway is only a small section of the original tarmac runway. This project will cover the part of the original runway owned by Great Tew Estates that measures on GE as about 375m of a total 1818m. This section has been fenced off for about six years now and has had no impact on flying. The question you should ask, is there a need to shuffle the marked runway west to ensure clearance over the overflow carpark?
Oh and will those posh houses get hacked off with arriving and departing traffic :D
