Ever wondered what your favourite VOR looks like?

Believe or not there is a whole gallery of them at

http://www.trevord.com/navaids/

Trevor Diamond,the author says
"It's true, I've risked losing all my friends by doing this project. I suppose it finally proves I am a geek at heart! (Is there a helpline I should ring?)

Seriously though - having spent many hours staring at dials and needles in an aircraft tracking many of these beacons, one builds a little semi-human relationship with them. I think this is called anthropomophism. Anyway, it seemed kinda cool to go visit them and build a gallery."

This is how I've always imagined Arnold Rimmer's photographic collection of twentieth century telegraph poles. :D

Confession time - Ken and I had a "thing" about viewing them from the air. We "bagged" lots...

Never got round to photographing them, though.

I also got the 75MHz antenna at Jersey before it went.
