SATURDAY
=========
Low pressure on Saturday morning will be over Scotland, steadily moving north. Fronts surround the area of low pressure bringing thundery rain.The morning starts wet over much of northern England, southern and eastern Scotland with plenty of cloud shrouding hills and mist too. Brighter in northwest Scotland. Murky in central and southern England and Wales, some rain at times over Wales. Ireland will be rather cloudy, a risk of rain in the east, some showers in the west. The rain gradually moving into northern Scotland, with showers over most of Scotland and developing in Ireland (becoming thundery here). Further showers for northwest England and Wales. brighter with sunny spells and mostly dry through the afternoon in other areas, although always a risk of a thundery showers in the west. Winds variable mainly W 12-15kt (F4) with sea breezes on coasts where the sun comes out.

SUNDAY
======
A generally better day on Sunday with a weak ridge of high pressure building. An occluded front will be passing east through Scotland and northern England.Bright skies at first with sunny spells and broken cloud, best sun in the east. Thicker cloud and some rain in eastern Scotland with another areas of cloud and rain, associated with the occluded front, moving through Ireland and into western Scotland.The area of rain fades as it crosses Scotland and northern England through the late morning to leave bright spells and mostly dry weather in the afternoon. Most other areas will be dry and bright, the best sunshine in the far south, and just a scattering of showers. Winds mainly W-NW 12-18kt (F4-F5) but W 20-25kt (F6 ) in Scotland.
